Acer Aspire V3-571-6698 Review

We’re going to be taking a look now at another variation of the Aspire-V3, but this one is perhaps the strongest yet. As with all of those laptops, this Acer Aspire V3-571-6698 shares that one disadvantage. It’s beautiful to say the least, with an elegant design that would make even the most beautiful of laptops pale in comparison, but it shares that same cheap design implemented to reduce costs as much as possible. The upper lid is perhaps the most affected here as it is built from matte plastic and it draws fingerprints and dust like crazy. Also, it’s relatively easy to scratch. It’s fairly strong, or so I’m told, and can even handle a bit of rough-handling, but it would have been so much better had they chosen a metallic lid instead.

Acer Aspire V3-571-6698 is perhaps the strongest one yet of the Aspire-V3-s that I have put up as this one seems to be equipped with a 3rd Generation Intel i5 processor (a 3210M with 2.50 GHz per core and a 3 MB cache). Since it has such a strong processor, it also comes equipped with an HD 4000 GPU, and that indicates that it can pretty much do almost as well as a weaker gaming laptop. If I made that sound bad, that wasn’t the intention. What I’m trying to get at is that it can run most games out there, even some of the newest titles, but the details have to be lowered a bit if you want it to work smooth.

Who is it for? discussing who would benefit most from this laptop...

  • Student
The V3-571-6698 from Acer is fairly good for students, however, I wouldn't exactly recommend it as your first choice. However, if you do have the cash for it and are willing to pay for some extra-powerful hardware, then there is no better alternative than this laptop. If you desire performance, its hardware will more than fulfill that task with a 3rd Gen Intel i5 processor and 6 GB of RAM memory.

  • Casual User
Acer Aspire V3-571-6698 is great for casual users, however, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to casual users as it offers more strength then they will ever require. If you need storage space, however, you'll be glad to know that this laptop comes with a 750 GB hard drive and has support for 2 simultaneous hard drives.

  • Business User
If you require a laptop for business users, you couldn't have found a stronger candidate. This Acer Aspire V3-571-6698 is strong enough as to satisfy all tasks you might have for it as a business user. As a bonus, it's also extremely thin (for such a strong laptop, how they managed to fit all that in such a small casing it's beyond me, lol).

  • Power User
If you're a power user and you don't really have a whole lot of cash to spend on a laptop, then this device will prove most useful for you. Acer Aspire V3-571-6698 is great for a lot of reasons, but its hardware are the most obvious ones. After all, it has 6 GB of RAM and a 3rd Gen Intel i5 which will work wonders for you.

  • Gaming
If you're a gamer looking for a budget laptop, this device can fulfill the task up to a certain point. Its HD 4000 GPU can run games at relatively decent details, but don't expect it to run the newest of titles at more than the lowest setting.

PROs Vs. CONs

A few really awesome features of this laptop are the cool enhancements and support that this laptop has. This device is equipped with the Optimized Dolby Advanced Audio v4 audio enhancement and in the eventuality that you would require even more from it (in storage space), it also has support for another Hard Drive (but frankly, its 750 GB should be enough).

Apart from the minor detail which I elaborated upon in the overview, I'd say that this laptop doesn't really have any true disadvantages. It's rough around certain edges, sure, but overall I think its pros outweigh its cons.

User Reviews: what others think?

Unfortunately, as of yet there are but a few user reviews and they aren't all that interesting in themselves. They don't really offer much information about the laptop, only focusing on the fact that it works well and that they don't really enjoy the Windows 8 on it. Other than that, we should probably wait for more reviews to come out.

Summary

In conclusion, the Acer Aspire V3-571-6698 is one of those only budget latops that can satisfy almost all categories of people to some degree. However, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for all categories out there. For instance, I'm not really sure a casual user should actually buy this as it is a bit more expensive than what I'd actually recommend for them. Still, if you have a bit of extra money and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure true power, this is the laptop could be for you.
